About This Project
USA Hockey’s Coaching Education Program developed this new, interactive skills DVD-ROM as part of its continued support for our membership. The project’s goal was to provide a technologically-advanced resource that would help educate and improve the skill set of all our member players.
This program is the most complete skills video compilation available anywhere! It’s a virtual library of information that can be implemented and adapted for any team’s age group. The skills presented are applicable to all youth players, regardless of age, and will challenge even the most elite players. This disc provides the coach with the tools to teach all of the fundamental skills of the game, which will ultimately increase his or her team’s effectiveness and success.
The on-ice footage was shot over a period of 18 days to produce over six hours of video. The legendary Mike “Doc” Emrick narrates the program and former NHL great and current NBC broadcaster Eddie Olczyk is the on-camera host.
USA Hockey feels that this is an invaluable tool that will raise the level of play and serve as a stimulus for player development. We hope that coaches and players take this information and create additional drills that will expand the athletes both physically and mentally. USA Hockey’s Coaching Education Program is proud to offer USA Hockey Skills and Drills for the Complete Player and Coach.
